gar918 Jensen JE-918 918BC

This Discrete Operational Amplifier has been created by Gary Barnett of Barnett Industries. This DOA is a nine transistor amplifier modeled after the legendary JE-918 which was designed by Deane Jensen. The JE-918 was the predecessor to the JE-990.

Sonically speaking, Gary describes these as a little less mid forward than a 2520 while making the low mids more “open”. Describing sonics can be very difficult but I think folks will find these noticeably different than our other offerings while still being very useful complimentary tools.
