Colin surpass himself once again with this amazing 1081 pre with an brilliant eq, a 500 series version of a classic Class A/B equalizer ….. with Carnhill inductors, input and output transformers. It’s a mic and line preamps with separate transformer-balanced inputs, and a four-band semi-parametric EQ, with both high and low cut filters. All of the EQ points and gain markings match those on AMS Neve reissue modules. Thick low end, clear detailed top, and forward transient focus that defines the original modules.
